What The Herald & News is working on today:
-- Explaining grad rates: The
state's first tracking of graduates was released, and statistics show
that of the students who entered Klamath Falls city high schools in

was 72 percent. Statewide average is around 68 percent. But school
officials say the numbers are deceiving, citing high school graduation
rates 15 to 20 percent higher than what the state number indicate.
