2 arrested in Rogue River Pharmacy gun thefts
ROGUE RIVER, Ore. -- Police arrested two suspects Tuesday night for the burglary and theft of 13 firearms from Rogue River Pharmacy and Sporting Goods on June 3.
At about 3:30 AM June 3, two male suspects smashed out the front glass door of the business in the Rogue Shopping Center at 506 E. Main St. They then entered the building and went to the sporting goods department at the front of the store where they smashed a glass display case containing firearms, mostly handguns, and stuffed them into a golf bag.
After a nearly three month long investigation in partnership with the Portland office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and receiving a break in the case through blood DNA evidence gathered at the crime scene by Rogue River police officer Chris Snyder, two suspects were arrested.
Christopher Achim Falk, 26, of the 8800 block of Rogue River Highway in Rogue River; and Kevin Dale Baremore, 42, of the 100 block Hogue Drive in Selma, were arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and first-degree criminal mischief.
Baremore was transported to the Jackson County Jail in Medford and booked on the charges after being arrested at his home in Selma.
Falk was charged in the Rogue River case, but remained in the Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass where he was already being held in custody on related federal charges.
Nine of the 13 stolen firearms have been recovered.
