Bill and Chelsea Clinton in Ashland
Bill and Chelsea Clinton were in Ashland to campaign for Hillary Sunday.
It's the former President's fourth stop in Southern Oregon and more than 1,000 people attended the event at in front of Southern Oregon University's Stevenson Union.
People began lining up as early as 2 p-m Sunday afternoon to hear the former president and his daughter campaign for Hillary Clinton.
"As a young voter and a democrat, I strongly believe my mom is the most qualified and progressive and prepared on every issue that important to me and every issue that is important to you and your family and your friends," said Chelsea.
Chelsea spoke about why she thinks her mother should be elected president, then turned the stage over to her father.
"She'd be the best president to end the war in iraq and turn the economy around and she would because shes a change maker and she has been for as long as I've known her," Bill Clinton said.
President Clinton also spoke about global warming, healthcare and education.
"Wants to make it possible for every young person to go to college and stop young people from dropping out over money," the former President said.
And says she could do much more if elected president.
"she'd crack down on private student loan companies ripping students off 18 percent interest let you borrow money from federal government and they don't lower interest rates that's what they did when I was President," Clinton said.
Many say his speech Saturday appealed to many of the younger voters.
"It was amazing, I've admired bill all my life and he talked about educational issues important to me I was hoping he would address those he did and I'm really happy," said Karinna Thompson, a Rogue Community College student.
"I think it was really good he's very charismatic and talked about a lot of issues young people are thinking about he really delivered today," said Jenny Rader, a SOU student.
And may have changed some minds.
"I have been supporting Obama but I liked everything President Clinton had to say I'm not sure anymore," said Alex Leffler, a SOU student.
Others say they were sure all along.
"Hillarys what this all about, she has opened the door for women all of our imaginations about what women can be for this country for this planet," said Deltra Ferguson, a Hillary supporter.
The former president spoke for about an hour.
Bill and Chelsea stayed around for about 20 minutes shaking hands, signing autographs and answering questions.
