ASHLAND, Ore. -- Two Southern Oregon cities approved tax extensions in Tuesday's election.
The 5% meals tax in Ashland will continue through 2030.
Restaurant owners in the city are not happy, many said the tax drives business out of Ashland to towns like Medford and Jacksonville.
The tax pays for a water treatment plant and land purchases.
Rogue River residents also approved a property tax extension to pay for fire coverage.
