California Menus Now Designed to Help You Trim the Fat

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Now you can see exactly how many calories and how many grams of saturated fat you're eating at any chain restaurant in California.

A new state law went into effect today requiring restaurants to list that information and have it available either on the table or when a customer asks for it.

The idea behind the law is to educate consumers.

16 million Californians are overweight or obese according to the Department of Health Services.
