Thieves give Medford couple a wake up call
MEDFORD Ore. – A Medford couple woke up to thieves in their bedroom early Thursday morning.
The home was located on the 400 block of Oak Street in West Medford.
Victim Joe Trombino says he left his front door unlocked, something he never does. He didn't hear the burglars until they were in his bedroom.
“The lights were flipped on and two armed guys pinned us down to the bed,” Trombino said.
Lieutenant Bob Hansen says Trombino could have been a target because of his age. Many of the medications older people are prescribed, for aches and pains, are the same drugs addicts typically want.
Neighbors say it's usually a pretty quiet street. They were surprised something like this happened.
“I think it’s a pretty safe neighborhood,” said neighbor Joshua Woods. “I accidentally left my window down a few times and nothing has ever happened.
Police haven't found the thieves but they are describing them as young adult males. If you have any information on this crime contact Medford Police at 541-774-2266.
