Man Pleads Not Guilty in Crescent City Murder Case
CRESCENT CITY, Calif. (AP) - An Arcata man accued of killing a
23-year-old woman and dumping her body off an Oregon bridge has
pleaded not guilty to murder.
Prosecutors say 28-year-old Josiah Miller stabbed Michelle
Ashlee Dickson, whom he had planned to buy $850 of marijuana from,
last July in Crescent City.
Authorities found the charred remains of Dickson's car the next
day, and on July 23 hikers found her body beneath the 345-foot-tall
Thomas Creek Bridge outside Brookings, Ore.
Miller's trial is scheduled to begin in September in Del Norte
County Superior Court.
