Bank Robbery in Eagle Point

In this week's Crime Stoppers an Eagle Point bank robber escapes with more than $2,000 in cash.

Police say the man walked into an Eagle Point bank, handed the teller a bag to load with money. They aren't sure if the man was armed or not but he said he did have a gun and did threaten to shoot the teller. Police say he's about 5' 5", and was wearing a green jacked, black jeans and white tennis shoes. They say this man is dangerous.

Eagle Point Police Chief David Strand said, "If a person who robs a bank or commits any crime is allowed to get a way with that they possibly will become emboldened and next time do it again and get more bold and end up hurting someone."

Chief Strand also said that it's important for that criminals are punished for their crime, and the whole community should work together catch them.

The case number is 01-06-08. If you have any information concerning a possible suspect in this crime, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-3-DETECT. Sonitrol will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and the filing of charges, and you can remain anonymous if you would like.
