SFPD to Investigate Woman's Claim that Dad Was Zodiac Killer

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police say they will look into a woman's claim that her late father was the infamous Zodiac killer.

Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said Wednesday that homicide investigators will check into information from a woman who said she was a little girl when her father killed at least two of the known victims nearly 40 years ago.

Deborah Perez of Corona, Calif., said Wednesday she was 7 and was with her father, Guy W. Hendrickson, when he killed Darlene Ferrin at a park in Vallejo and Paul Stine in San Francisco in 1969.

Perez said she has given police what she believes are the eyeglasses Stine wore and letters she wrote on her father's behalf about the crimes.
