Playground Fire in Grants Pass

On Thursday around 4 A.M., Police Officers and Fire and Rescue from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety responded to a fire in Morrison Centennial Park
Upon arrival, Fire and Police observed the structure to find the playground engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly put out and was never a danger to the nearby apartment complex.
The fire was reported by residents on Fruitdale, and there were no witnesses located to identify a suspect.
The Fire Investigator in conducting an investigation as to the cause, and the criminal investigation is ongoing.
