July 4th Fireworks, Parades Around the Valley

MEDFORD -- "Red, White and BOOM" fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. at Medford's Harry and David Field, 2929 S. Pacific Highway. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Beach chairs and blankets will be allowed on the field. Food vendors and children's games will be available. No outside food, drink or alcohol is permitted, and no pets will be allowed. The show is sponsored by the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County and Red Robin restaurant. Viewing is also available in the area around the sports park entrance.

ASHLAND -- Fireworks will be launched launched from the athletic fields at Southern Oregon University at about 10 p.m. They will be visible all over town. An area near the fields will be closed during the presentation. For more information, click here. The city's popular parade begins 10:15 AM, running from Triangle Park down Siskiyou Bouelvard to East Main Street, ending at Water Street.

EAGLE POINT -- A pre-show and karaoke begins at 7 p.m. at Eagle Point High School, with fireworks at dusk. A skydiver parachute lottery will be held during an intermission in the fireworks. Click here for more information or call 826-4212, ext. 111. The city's parade is at 11 AM downtown.

LAKE OF THE WOODS -- The resort off Highway 140 hosts fireworks at 10 PM, with music a and a barbecue ahead of the pyrotechnics.

CENTRAL POINT -- The city will not have fireworks but a parade and a street fair will be held 9:30 AM to 2 PM.

BUTTE FALLS -- A parade is planned to begin at 11 AM starting at the elementary school.
