Missing Oregon Grandma Found Safe in Milan, Italy

LA GRANDE (AP) - A 74-year-old Oregon grandmother who went missing last week while visiting Italy has been found and is well.

Norma Gillis of La Grande got separated from her granddaughter in Florence last Wednesday.

The La Grande Observer reports authorities have told the worried family the woman was found safe and well today (Monday) in Milan.

Peggy Gillis, Norma Gillis' daughter-in-law, told the newspaper: "We sure are relieved, though we're curious of all the details."

Norma Gillis flew to Italy in late September with her 22-year-old granddaughter, Christina.
