Armed men invade Medford home in the middle of the night, robbing residents

MEDFORD, Ore. -- Two masked, armed men broke into a house near McLoughlin Middle School early Thursday morning, demanding cash and prescription drugs.

Medford police responded at 2:11 AM to a report of a residential armed robbery in the 400 block of Oak Street, west of the middle school.

The victims reported that they had been sleeping and were awoken by two masked male suspects demanding money and prescription medications. The suspects were described as young adult males. The weapons they carried are not being disclosed to protect the integrity of the investigation, according to Medford police Lt. Bob Hansen.

The suspects briefly rummaged through drawers in the home and left with two cell phones.
