Siskiyou County Sheriff's Report -- Oct. 29

- Richard Thomas Garrett, age 59 of Wilsonville, Oregon, was found deceased on 10/24/09 in the cab of his GTI tractor/trailer unit parked at the Travelers Truck Stop in Weed; exact cause of death is pending medical examiner’s report.
- Shannon Michelle Cyr, age 44 of Mount Shasta, died at Mercy Medical Center Mount Shasta on 10/28/09 where she was taken by ambulance from her residence; exact cause of death is pending medical examiner’s report.
- Thomas Orville Clarke, Jr., age 24 of Montague, was arrested in Montague at 4:50 p.m. on 10/28/09 and booked into Siskiyou County Jail charged with revocation of probation; Clarke remains in custody being held without bail. Clarke came to the attention of Sheriff’s Deputies when they responded to a report of a green Jeep being driven recklessly at the west end of Scobie Street in Montague. Deputies found the unoccupied Jeep parked at a Montague mobile home park and contacted Clarke nearby. Clarke was subsequently arrested charged with revocation of probation. The case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office seeking additional charges of driving with a suspended license and reckless driving against Clarke.
- Braden Douglas Post, age 28 of Yreka, was arrested outside of a Montague residence at 6:33 p.m. on 10/28/09 and booked into Siskiyou County Jail charged with being drunk in public; Post was detained and later released with no further proceedings necessary. Post was arrested after a Montague resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report Post was banging on his door trying to come inside uninvited.
- On 10/28/09 the Sheriff’s Office received a report that the outside kitchen at the Shasta Sunset Dinner Train in McCloud had been broke into sometime during the night 10/27-28 and alcohol and food items taken. Loss is estimated at $600.00.
