13-year-old girl dies in car accident

A 13-year-old oregon girl is dead after a fatal accident in Dayton, OR Tuesday night.

Oregon State police say Kalie Mosgrove's mother, Connie Mosgrove, was driving across Highway 18 from the north side of SE Ash Street, when their minivan was struck by a tractor-trailer truck.

State troopers are still investigating who is at fault for the collision. Connie Mosgrove was transported, by LifeFlight, to Legacy Emanuel Hospital, she is in critical condition.

The truck driver, Jolan Miller, 33, from Vancouver, Washington was not injured.

Police say their also investigating if the Mosgroves were buckled up.

Highway 18 was closed about six hours at the scene of the crash.
