Crews Work Hard to Setup Fireworks

Medford- Before the fireworks light up the night sky over Medford, crews must put in hours and hours of work. Lee Finlayson, the head pyrotechnic for the Medford Fireworks Show, describes it as "going into battle."
The company is Western Display Fireworks, they're based just south of Portland, and this fourth they have twelve shoots just like the one in Medford to set up.
Western Display hires a mostly local crew. Some members travel from other cities in Oregon.  Tim Borkkaric, from Brookings even brings his dog with him and camps on the work site. Borkkaric sees it as a nostalgic experience that he looks forward to. he explains,  "a lot of us grew up together, we moved away grew up and had families but we one a year come back and get together."
The show starts this evening and lasts about twenty minutes.
