Old Stage Road crash kills 26-year-old driver Thursday night

GOLD HILL, Ore. -- A single-vehicle crash at about 7:15 PM Thursday killed the vehicle's driver, the Jackson County Sheriff's office reported Friday morning.
The vehicle, a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser with Oregon license plates, was traveling on the 7800 block of Old Stage Road south of Gold Hill when it went off the road into the ditch for unknown reasons.
The vehicle rolled and the driver, identified as Rudy Rae Adevai Jr., 26, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The sheriff's office is investigating the crash.
