Malin motorcyclist seriously injured when truck turns in front of him
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- A Malin motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup near the intersection of Highway 39 (S. Sixth Street) and Highway 140E.
The pickup driver was cited for Driving While Suspended and Reckless Driving.
Oregon State Police Trooper Allan Fruitt said a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Dwight Gobble, 41, from Malin, was southbound on Highway 39 when a pickup driven by Eric Stowers, 26, from Klamath Falls, turned out of a parking lot to head northbound. The pickup turned into the path of the motorcycle, which crashed into pickup bed's left side.
Gobble was transported by ambulance to Sky Lakes Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Stowers was not injured.
