Power restored after overnight outage for hundreds north of Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Ore. -- Pacific Power reports restoring electricity to 367 customers Wednesday morning between Jacksonville and Central Point after it went out at 9:50 PM Tuesday.

Temperatures were in the 20s in the area overnight. Pacific Power spokesman said a lightning arrestor failed, causing the outage. A lightning arrestor protects transmission lines from lightning strikes.

Power was restored to everyone by 6:52 AM.
