Josephine County Eyes Property Tax Measure

Josephine County is taking steps to put a property tax measure on next November's ballot.
The new tax would raise property taxes by an average of 11 dollars per month for people living in Grants Pass.
Taxes would go up twice as much for people living elsewhere in the county.
Commissioners say the money will be used to fund the sheriff's office.
Josephine County voters defeated a property tax levy by a wide margin last year.
But commissioners say they're running out of options to fund law enforcement.
