KERBY, Ore. -- A 51-year-old man reported missing was found Sunday morning, ejected from his Jeep Wrangler, which had plunged 300 feet over an embankment off Tennessee Lookout Road.

Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson reports that Bruce Barker's son found vehicle tracks at the site where his father's Jeep left the road 1.5 miles up Tennessee Lookout Road from Westside Road outside Kerby. Barker's son reported him missing shortly after midnight, early Sunday morning.

Barker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the case has been referred to the coroner for review. Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but that finding won't be determined for certain until autopsy results return.
