An Eagle Point family mourns the loss of their son

EAGLE POINT, Ore. -- A three time star athlete and beloved son, Kristopher Bulter was lost to a tragic car accident, Sunday.

"He was awesome. He was the best kid you could ever ask for. He was the best son in the whole world. He was respectful. He was a gentleman," said Gloria Bulter, his mother.

Gloria Bulter sat on a couch in her mother's garage as Kristopher's family and loved ones all shared in his mother's grief. Gloria held pictures of her son close to her, constantly looking at them with sad tired eyes.

"He was more than just my son. He was my friend," said Butler. She said she raised all her children to be open--to share in all experiences and memories. She said it is what Kristopher did best, share his life with his parents and brothers and sisters.

Kristopher Bulter was a former star football, basketball and track athlete at Eagle Point High School. His former football coach, Harry Hendrick said he always had a positive attitude about him.

"He had a great pension for one handed catches," Hedrick said recalling fond memories. "I'm just going to miss him and my heart goes out to the family."

Kris Vincent, Administrative Assistant at Eagle Rock Elementary School said she knew Kristopher since he was in the seventh grade and she never knew him to have any enemies.

"He was always happy, always had a smile on his face. Nobody disliked [Kristopher] ever."

Butler is concentrating on one day at a time, thankful for the support of her family but sadden by the loss of an irreplacable son.

She had one last message for him.

"I love you...your family misses you."
