More Waiting for St. Mary's Parents

Twelve students and one chaperone are still stuck in China.

Karla Lyle says she was a little sad her did not come home with the group of St. Mary's students early Saturday morning.

She says, "I know he's coming home.  I've never been concerned of his return, just no knowing the timing of it."

Frank Phillips, headmaster of St. Mary's says, "We have 9 kids still in quarantine and they will be tested in groups of three."

Nine students are in quarantine in a Jung Jo hospital.  Three students and one chaperone have tested negative and are waiting in a hotel in the city. One of those three students in the hotel is Lyle's son.

Since the freedom she says of her son, "He had the ability to go to lunch and dinner with dignitaries, and went to the Yellow River and rode a horse, he told me."

Phillips says the best case scenario is that the students get tested and cleared on Wednesday.

Lyle says, "I'm glad he doesn't have any more school trips planned this year, other than the wilderness trip, but i think he's going to stay home and be with his family."

And when he gets home it's going to be hard to let him leave again.

Phillips says once all the students test negative for the H1N1 virus, they will all fly home together.
