Woman Sentenced For Fatal Hit-And-Run

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A Medford woman pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter charges this morning, just as her trial was set to begin in her hit-and-run case.

Eva Fallon will spend 75 months in prison-- more than six years-- in the death of Geoffrey Fennell, with no possibility of early release. She'll also have five years of post-prison supervision, and will lose her driver's license for eight years after she's released.

Fennell died last January after being hit by Fallon's car at Jackson and Riverside as he tried to cross the street. A second person was struck in the same crash, but escaped serious injury.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Tim Barnack says Fallon had meth in her system at the time she struck and killed Fennell.
