CrimeStoppers 01/22/13: Robber strikes coffee stand

MEDFORD, Ore. - The Jackson County
Sheriff's Office needs your help tracking down the suspect who robbed
the Human Bean near Phoenix Monday night.
Deputies say just after 9:00 p.m., a man in his late teens to early 20s, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded cash.
say the suspect is around 5'9" with a thin build but deputies say it's
hard to tell what he looked like because he was wearing a mask and a
dark hooded sweatshirt.
"It does make it more difficult to
identify somebody based on wearing a mask, you're not seeing all those
individual features you would if a person weren't wearing a mask and so
it makes it more difficult," Andrea Carlson with the Jackson County
Sheriff's Office said. "Which is why we really look to the public, if
they were driving by, if you saw someone coming out of a bush wearing a
mask on their face, anything that seemed slightly out of the ordinary."
Detectives are also checking for surveillance video from the Human Bean and nearby businesses.
Police believe this suspect may have also robbed Bad Ass Coffee on Crater Lake Ave. last week.
If you have information regarding this crime, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-850-0580. The case number is 01-22-13.
Benz of Medford will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an
arrest and the filing of charges. You can remain anonymous.
