Home burglary leaves Rogue River home partially gutted
ROGUE RIVER, Ore. -- A newly remodeled home was recently gutted of its brand new furnishings and appliances by thieves, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a burglary at a home on the 2100 block of West Evans Creek Road in Rogue River on Jan. 18. The newly remodeled home was rid of all kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, some carpeting, bathroom cabinets and a hot water heater, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies noted some of the carpeting had been torn from the floor and hung over the windows.
It appeared all the cabinets and appliances had been carefully and professionally removed, not just ripped out, according to investigators. The damage to the home is estimated to be more than $20,000.
The home was for sale and was last shown to potential buyers on Jan. 16.
There are rewards associated with this case. If you have any information on the suspect in this crime, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-850-0580.
Depending on the case and information given, Rogue Credit Union will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of charges.Tuesday, February 4 2014, 05:49 PM CST
