Truck Plunges Over Embankment
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Two men were injured this afternoon when their truck went about a hundred and fifty feet down a steep embankment and crashed into several trees.
The accident happened on a dirt road off Anderson Butte Road, south of Jacksonville. The truck was spotted by two people who then flagged down a man who happened to be an off-duty Josephine County paramedic. He sent them off to find cell coverage and call for help while he hiked down to the crash site.
The extent of the mens' injuries is not known, but both were described as conscious and alert at the scene. One of the men was flown to the hospital in a Mercy Flights helicopter. Their names have not yet been released.
