Stranger Attacks, Stabs Josephine County Man

A Josephine County man is hospitalized after an apparent stranger attacks and stabs him.
Matthew Spickard of Selma was walking next to Redwood Highway in Kerby around 1:30 Saturday morning when a man with a large knife appeared suddenly and started stabbing him. He was taken to three rivers hospital with a stab wound through his forearm, and lacerations to the head.
The suspect is described as a 6'0" man with a stocky build wearing dark clothing.
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office would like to hear from anyone with information on the attack.
