Medford Child Porn Suspect Arrested in Girl's Sexual Assault
Comments 0 | Recommend 0KLAMATH FALLS -- A Medford man accused of sexually abusing a minor who also had been raped by his son has been charged with sexual assault and unlawful sexual penetration with an object.
Robert Homer Wedel was arrested Tuesday night by Klamath County authorities after being arrested Sept. 27 by police in Jackson County on a warrant from Klamath County. He was being held in the Klamath County Jail on $150,000 bail.
Klamath County District Attorney Ed Caleb says the 60-year-old Wedel is related to the alleged victim. Caleb said the girl was raped by Wedel's son, who is in prison for that crime now.
In March, Wedel was arrested in Jackson County, where he is awaiting trial on 10 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse. Wedel is the owner of the Medford adult bookstore Romantasy and the charges were related to child pornography found on his computer.
Caleb says the Klamath County District Attorney's Office will prosecute Wedel with "extreme vigor."
