Remains Of Kaelin Glazier Found Near Ruch
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the remains of Kaelin Glazier of Ruch have been found.
A property owner in the Ruch area contacted investigators on April 8th, saying they thought they'd found human remains. The medical Examiner confirmed the body as Kaelin Glazier's, and concluded she died of "homicidal violence." The information was released at a news conference this afternoon.
Kaelin was 15 when she disappeared more than a decade ago... in 1996. She was last seen at a friend's home. Her mother says Kaelin was supposed to be at a church function at the Applegate Christian Fellowship but never showed up.
Investigators say they think she went to the home of Billy Simmons instead. He reportedly told them she was there, watched a movie, and then left. But Sheriff Mike Winters says Simmons, now 28, remains a "person of interest" in the case.
