Missing Sprague River Woman Found Dead
SPRAGUE RIVER, Ore. - Authorities say they have found the body of a 47-year-old woman three miles from her Sprague River home. Authorities say the body of Dawn Marie Harris was found by Klamath County search and rescue workers following a two-day search.
Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger says a helicopter and crew from Jackson County were called in for assistance, but before the helicopter arrived, searchers located Harris' truck and tracked her footsteps for about four miles.
Authorities say Harris likely died from exposure, and no foul play is suspected. She had been visiting friends Monday night and was reportedly on her way home early Tuesday when her truck became stuck in snow and mud on a spur road.
