Two Suspects in Custody for Medford Burglary and Assault
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Two men were arrested in central point this morning, shortly after midnight for robbing Novedades on West Main Street, near Dairy Queen, just before 7:30 P.M. last night.
32-year old Edgar Manuel Donis Hernandez and 21-year old Carlos Donis were spotted driving on Taylor Road.
Investigators say one man served as a lookout while the other went for the money.
“One of the men went to the counter, and when he demanded money and was told there was none, he pulled out a weapon,” said Sgt. Kim Budreau, Medford Police.
The suspect shot the employee in the torso. The shot broke the victim's skin, but he did not need medical help.
Police viewed the security tape from last night's hold-up and believe the suspects are the same men who held up another Hispanic business yesterday afternoon on Crater Lake Avenue, Bienna e Los Pinas.
Police say the suspects of that robbery held up a lone female employee at knifepoint, sexually assaulted her and demanded money.
They're both being lodged at the Jackson County Jail on charges of robbery, theft and assault.
Donis Hernandez has additional charges of sodomy and sex abuse and is being held on more than $5 million bail. For Carlos Donis, bail is set at more than $3 million.
