Comments 0 | Recommend 0Jackson County Sheriff's deputies have captured a 31 year old Linn County man who escaped from the Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview Saturday night.
Christopher Sherrod was spotted by a rancher around 4:00 PM Sunday, about 20 miles away from the Warner Creek Correctional Facility. The Jackson County deputies were assisted by Lake County deputies and a K9 Unit from Klamath County.
Sherrod was serving almost six years for kidnapping.
He was discovered missing around 9:30 Saturday night, along with 25 year old Joseph Swift.
Swift was serving a 10 year sentence for robbery and was recaptured just after 1:00 Sunday morning.
The Warner Creek Correctional Facility houses minimum-security prisoners with less than four years remaining on their sentences.
Investigators are still trying to figure out how Sherrod and Swift escaped.
