On The Town: Blues Harmonica show & Polar Plunge

We have a fun On The Town for you this week.

Mark Hummel mastered the harmonica and he and his group will be putting on a show for you at the Craterian Saturday, Feb. 4. Mark Hummel's Blues Harmonica Blowout features several different musicians, but the star of the show is the harmonica. Their show promises to pack as much musical diversity as possible into one evening. Tickets range from $24 to $30, showtime is 7:30pm.

And, you don't have to wait for summer to take a swim. You can jump into the Jackson Pool Friday, Feb. 3 to help out the Special Olympics. The annual polar plunge is a fundraiser for the group. Last year nearly 3,000 people plunged in Portland, Corvallis, Eugene, Medford and Bend. In total, raising $467,000 in pledges. Organizers hope to raise even more this year. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $50. Opening ceremonies start at 6:30pm.

Have a great weekend.
