KTVL's TROPHY FISHING TIPS |
Raised in Corvallis, Ore. Todd Ostenson found a love for fly-fishing as a child
after receiving a fly tying kit from his father. In 1991, Ostenson became a fly
fishing guide in Alaska followed by guiding in Central Oregon on the Deschutes
River. In 1998 Ostenson opened Trophy Waters Fly Fishing Shop, now in Medford, and has continued guiding in Southern Oregon. Through the shop he has taught fly fishing and tying classes at both Rogue Community College and Klamath Community College as well as teaching private lessons out of the store. Ostenson’s dedication to professional outdoor photography landed him a spot as a featured presenter at the 2009 International Sportsman Expo. He is also a contract fly-tier, developing trout, steelhead, salmon and bonefish patterns for the local area and destination fisheries, many of which are sold through national outdoor retailer Cabela's. |
