The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a barn burglary around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, according to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
The homeowners say they closed and secured their barn around 9 p.m. the night before.
Investigators say the suspect smashed the window with a piece of metal wrapped in a sweatshirt.
Once the window was broken, police believe the suspect was able to unlock the window and get into the barn.
The suspect took tools, battery chargers, equipment and several English and Western riding saddles, according to the press release. The stolen property is valued at more than $6,000.
If you have information, call the Jackson County Sheriff's Office tip line at (541) 774-8333 or CrimeStoppers of Southern Oregon at 1-800-850-0580.
CrimeStoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
