The robbery happened at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the 900 block of South Oakdale Drive, according to a press release from the Medford Police.
During the robbery, two suspects entered the house and were allegedly armed. Police say the men turned the lights off and partially blinded the victim with flashlights. They took cash, credit cards and the victim's car.
Detectives learned the stolen credit cards were used at a Medford Walmart.
As police reviewed the store's video surveillance, they recognized the suspect from another case.
They identified the suspect as Henry Maldonado, 29, of Redding, Calif. Police found him at the Fairfield Inn in Central Point on Monday.
Police arrested him on an outstanding warrant from California, suspicion of robbery, burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of methamphetamine.
Police say they found the victim's vehicle in the hotel parking lot.
Detectives served a search warrant on Maldonado's seized property and found other items taken from the victim's home.
They also learned the identify of the second suspect. On Dec. 6, they found Timothy Dean Diaz, 55, near 11th Street and King Street. Police arrested him on the suspicion of robbery, burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
