On Thursday, police officers began searching the Hellgsate Overlook area for Conrad Jordan. The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety called the Oregon State Police and asked them to check the area. The man had left a note to his wife saying he was going to the overlook.
Troopers found Jordan's vehicle at the overlook but didn't find him. OSP brought in the Josephine County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team.
Jordan did not respond to searchers and couldn't immediately be found. Crews called off the search Thursday night because of difficult terrain and darkness, according to a press release from the Josephine County Sheriff's office.
The search resumed Friday. Jackson County Sheriff's office sent search and rescue crews as well as marine officers to assist.
Crews searched the Rogue River from Indian Mary Park to Hellsgate Overlook. Rope teams searched the rocky face of Hellsgate Overlook and canine teams searched the surrounding areas.
They did not find Jordan.
If you have information on Jordan's whereabouts, please call (541) 474-5301.
