MEDFORD, Ore. -- Police say a burglary suspect slipped out of his handcuffs and ran away from officers after he was arrested.
On Wednesday night, Medford Police got a call about a home robbery on Mary Street.
Lt. Curtis Whipple says Nathan Wallace was hiding inside when the homeowners came home.
Wallace was arrested and taken to Providence Medical Center before he was booked in jail.
During that time, Whipple says, Wallace managed to get out of his handcuffs and run away.
With the help of multiple agencies, Medford Police set up a perimeter around the medical center and handed out flyers with Wallace's picture on it.
Corporal Steve Furst says an anonymous person called in and said Wallace was hiding near the Julia Ann Apartments.
When officers arrived, Furst says, Wallace was breaking into another car.
Wallace was taken into custody again. He now faces additional charges for breaking into the car.
