EAGLE POINT, Ore.-- Kim Jostad will be one of 46 moms who will be shaving her head to help raise money for Saint Baldrick's this month.
Kim Jostad's son Ethan lost his battle with cancer last year.
On July 29 she will join dozens of other mothers from across the country in L.A to shave her head for cancer research.
Saint Baldrick's is an organization that raises funds for pediatric cancer research.
"When someone is diagnosed with cancer, they don't get to decide what they can do with their hair. We are fortunate because our hair will grow back, but if i can raise money shaving my head I would do it everyday if it would help find cures to cancer," Jostad said.
All the moms are trying to raise $1 million dollars for cancer research.
So far they've raised about$400,000.
Jostad has raised about $5,900, just short of her $6,000 goal.
