CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – City employees in Central Point need
help finding a watering cart that was stolen, so they can water plants in the
downtown area.
Matt Samitore, the director of Parks and Recreation and
Public Works, says the cart was stolen on Sept. 10th. It was kept outside of city hall on 3rd
Street.
The cart was used by the company Pathway Enterprises Inc., that
hires disabled workers. Employees used it to water nearly 40 flowerbeds and plants
along Pine Street, Samitore said.
For now, workers are watering the plants by hand. However,
Samitore says they are hoping they can get it back, because keeping the
downtown area beautiful is important to the city, business owners and
residents.
If you have any information about who may have stolen it,
you can contact Central Point Police at (541) 664 – 5578.
