Police began investigating a kidnapping case Thursday after responding to a 911 call at the Motel 6, according to a press release from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
A woman was in the motel lobby and told police she had run away from her captors.
Police cordoned off the motel because they believed the suspects were still there. However, the suspects had already fled.
Officers learned that the suspects knew the victim and were able to identify them as Tonisa Torres, 31, of Grants Pass and Jose Anthony Aguirre, 31, of Grants Pass.
Early Friday morning, detectives found a vehicle associated with the suspects. It was found in Rogue River. Detectives began watching the vehicle, hoping to find the suspects.
Attempts were unsuccessful.
Around 5:30 a.m., detectives spotted Aguirre in the 8000 block of Rogue River Highway, a press release said.
The suspect tried to flee, but a K-9 officer followed him to the woods. The K-9 bit Aguirre on the ankle. He was arrested on the suspicion of manufacture, delivery, possession of methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm.
Police also found and arrested Torres on the suspicion of kidnapping and assault.
