Around 7:36 p.m., police received a call about a robbery at the pharmacy inside the Albertson's on West Main Street, according to a press release from the Medford Police Department.
The suspect allegedly approached two employees at the pharmacy and gave them a note demanding specific narcotics and money. Police say the note suggested the suspect had a gun.
He made off with two bottles of oxycodone and no money.
Witnesses were able to give the police dispatcher a detailed description, which was given to officers.
About four minutes later, a detective saw someone matching the description at West Main and Reager Street.
The detective made contact with the man -- identified as 32-year-old Eli Richard Williams-- and found stolen items on his person, according to police.
Williams was taken to the police department where he was interviewed and arrested on the suspicion of robbery. He was taken to jail.
Police say all of the stolen property was recovered.
