MEDFORD, Ore. - Hearts With A Mission and Youth for Christ are working together to build a new community building in Medford.
The City Life Community Center will be going up on Edwards St. where workers tore down two old buildings Monday.
The two non-profits will use the new building as a resource center to give kids a safe place.
The organizations are asking for the public's help. "Well we'd love for somebody to write a big check but there's something about being hands-on and being able to be a part of something I think that kind of ties you to it and we want to encourage everybody that if this is something you'd like to do and you'd like to be a part of helping it go up, then lend a hand," Hearts With A Mission Executive Director Kevin Lamson said.
Organizers hope to have the City Life Community Center completed by September.
For more information on how you can lend a hand please call Ron Harvey at 541-210-5001.
If you would like to donate financially towards the project please visit either one of these websites: Hearts With a Mission or Youth for Christ.
