Troopers stopped a 2012 Chervolet Sonic on Highway 140E for traffic violation around 10:20 a.m. March 1, according to a press release from OSP. There were two women in the car.
During the investigation, the trooper found over five pounds of pot in the car's trunk. The trooper arrested Susan M. Jackson, 54, and Cheryl K. Jackson, 53, both of Boise, Idaho on the suspicion of possession and distribution of marijuana.
Police continued their investigation and found a connection to a home in Gold Hill.
Officers searched a home in the 100 block of Jacoby Street, where they found 39 pounds of marijuana. They cited the resident, 61-year-old Timothy E. Wyatt, for unlawful manufacture, possession and distribution of marijuana.
