Mejia signs with Portland State University
South Medford basketball state champion Yaremi Mejia, joined by her family and teammates, signed with Portland State University's team Monday.
The Panther senior will receive a full scholarship at the school.
South Medford girls basketball coach Tom Cole said Mejia may be the first Hispanic girl in Oregon to receive a full basketball scholarship to a Division 1 university.
News 10 will follow Mejia and the rest of the Lady Panthers for Friday Night Fast Breaks in January.
