Raider runner earns CCC Red Lion Athlete of the Week award

LA GRANDE -- A pair of event titles and an NAIA automatic qualifying mark on Thursday earned Sullivan Stevens (Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs) Cascade Collegiate Conference honors as the conference named Stevens the Red Lion Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Competing at the Lane Community College Titan Twilight, Stevens finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with an NAIA-qualifying time of 14.48 in the event. That time was one-hundredth of a second off his personal record set last year. Stevens followed that up with a first-place and personal-record showing in the 400-meter hurdles, posting a time of 54.46.

Stevens and the Raiders conclude the 2013 regular season this weekend at Saturday's Oregon Twilight in Eugene.
